Feerick Medical Planning works closely with the claims professionals, the internal nurse case managers and legal personnel to establish case priorities and plan strategies. Our philosophy is to establish a good working relationship with the injured worker, building trust and confidence, which enhances our working relationship. If authorized, we will communicate with the employer to assess job duties and work environment and build return-to-work goals that are realistic and appropriate. We also work with the provider to ensure treatment is tailored to meet the injured worker’s needs. It is vital that treatment is comprehensive and is tailored to maximize the injured individual’s functional outcome. Regular contact with the primary provider is a top priority at Feerick Medical Planning. We strive to keep the provider informed of modified duty options to minimize total disability and maximize return-to-work potential. The claims professionals and attorney, if applicable, are kept informed of all case progress on an ongoing basis. This teamwork approach provides a consistent, organized plan to achieve the maximum functional outcome for the injured individual.

Feerick Medical Planning works with all lost time and no lost time cases. We have experience with catastrophic cases, such as multiple trauma, brain injury and spinal cord injury as well as long term disability cases. We have specialized training in burn injury case management and are familiar with the burn centers throughout Southern California.

When a referral is received, we move quickly to clarify diagnosis, obtain medical documentation and identify treating providers. We work with the family of the injured individual to ensure they feel supported and to provide them with any assistance needed during this difficult time. We ensure that a treatment plan is developed for the individual and their capabilities so resources are directed appropriately.
